If duplicates of a clue are owned, the clues are consumed one at a time. Chests disappear once looted, sinking back into the ground. The lock can then be broken open with a five-second prompt. It will then take around five more uses of the shovel at the same location to fully reveal the treasure. The dig revealing and raising treasure will make clanging and thuds, as if hitting the chest, as opposed to the unsuccessful sound of just dirt moving. Once the correct location is found, and a dig is successful, the clue scroll will vanish, and the chest may appear for a fraction of a second. Once in the general area of the clue, it may take multiple attempts to reveal the treasure. While possessing the scroll, players may find the location hinted at, and then use a Shovel to dig up treasure. Each Clue Scroll will contain a riddle, giving the location of buried treasure. Up to three Clue Scrolls may be purchased from Sneaky Shane per day, with easy and medium costing $1100, and hard costing $1500.
